Radio Stations
- KQED -- the
lumbering behemoth of Bay Area public radio, since 1954. (mp3)
(list of programs)
- KALW -- the mellow
underdog station (really cool
history). (Windows
Media ) (RealPlayer)
- KCMP
The Current -- Fantastic music out of Minneapolis. Sort of
alt-rock-eclectic like Radio Paradise, only
different. (128k)
- KGNU -- Boulder/Denver
non-commercial community radio. Mostly all-over-the-map music with some
interesting talk. Like good college radio, but
better. (128k)
- KXCI - Arizona Community
Radio. I'm not sure how to describe this; it appears to be "every type
of music ever made by white
people". (128k)
- KEXP -
Tacoma/Olympia. Pretty unusual in being listener-supported and almost
entirely music. (128k)
(32k)

- KRCL - Radio Free Utah! I listened
to this station all through Utah and part of Nevada (they have a huge
range thanks to some relay magic) when I moved out here, and it was so
wonderful I even sent them some money and a thank-you note. Finally they
have a stream online. (128k)
(32k)
- KUNC
-- public radio in Colorado, broadcasting Echoes Mon - Thurs, 10 PM - 1 AM
MST (mp3 .pls)
(mp3
.m3u) (playlist)
- KCRW -- NPR in Santa Monica. (RealPlayer) (mp3) (music mp3)
- KPIG - Weird and wonderful little
station in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Oink! (wma)
- KPCC - Public radio in
Pasadena. (64k)
- KYRS -- Thin Air
Community Radio, Spokane. (mp3)
- WFCR -- Five College Radio in the
Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. The station I grew up on and still one of
the best. (mp3) (HD mp3)
- WAMC -- New York State public
radio. (mp3)
(Windows
Media) (other stuff)
- WSPN -- the radio station
of my alma mater, Skidmore
College. (mp3)
(Shoutcast
page, since the stream URL keeps changing)
- KUT -- public radio at UT-Austin. (mp3)
- KALX -- 90.7, Berkeley.
(RealPlayer)
- KAZU -- 90.3, Pacifica.
(RealPlayer)
(more stuff)
- KZSU -- 90.1, Stanford
University. (128k) (RealPlayer) (other options)
- KFJC -- 89.7, Foothill
College. They have 20k, 40k, and 128k streams in a variety of formats.(128k) (32k) (many other options)
I listen to all of these (when I have time) via podcasts now, which are
pretty awesome.
