Other Non-commercial Radio

Last edit: 16 July 1999

Note well: The KZSU radio station listings will go away

After five years, we have decided that we do not have the human resources to maintain quality listings of radio stations on the Web. When we phase out our crusty SparcStation 1+, the radio stations listings will not migrate. This will probably happen by September or October 1999.

Instead, we recommend radio aficionado Internauts visit the MIT List of Radio Stations on the Internet.

In the United States, the FM band between 88 and 92 MHz is allocated for educational and noncommercial use. Tune in around there in any metropolitan area, and you're bound to find eclectic radio. Note that we keep separate lists of Bay Area non-commercial and commercial stations on separate pages.

KZSU is attempting to keep track of all noncommercial radio stations with significant Web presence, so if you know of any more, please use our handy submission form or send e-mail to info@kzsu.Stanford.EDU. If you are interested in noncommercial stations without any Internet service, you may wish to consult the Gumbo Non-Commercial Radio list.
