I've been a bit busy, but more striking is discovering how much I use the Internet, for research, entertainment, information, and staying in touch with friends. This comes up because I've had no home net access since I moved, because (surely due to the telecommunications deregulation of the past 15 years) AT&T gets to take two weeks to flip a damn switch somewhere. There's no technician involved. Probably someone just has to type into a computer. But they haven't done it, and work has actually involved working, so I've been a bit out of touch, in a way I'm not crazy about.

On the other hand, a hot girl and I are sort of figuring out if we like each other, and got to talk for a while at her cocktail party last night. So, sweet.
