onlookers.

I stopped by the store today to get flowers for my lady friend--since we had some stuff to talk over, it dawned on me that when you like someone, one can ordinarily do nice things for them like buy flowers and/or chocolate. As I stood there starting to look at the flowers, a woman in her early 40s or so noticed and said, "Oh, you're a good man."

I said, "And I'm not even in trouble!".

"Oh, you're a really good man."

(Lady friend appreciated both swanky chocolate and purple flowers, because really, who wouldn't?)

I'm feeling run-down again, so I need to start being much more careful about how I eat this week. It'll be no good for me to drive to Colorado and try doing a week of solid aikido like this.
