inside we are not all the same.

Saturn's moon could look like Sweden.

I think I'm going to go see Beth Waters in a couple weeks. I like the first song especially.

I've been watching The L-Word, which seems to be a pretty decent show even aside from the hot lesbian sex. It's maddening, though: there's this woman who moves to LA to being with her fiance, and finds herself blown away by the female cafe owner. So they sleep together in the pilot episode, which means that everything after that is the death of a relationship in slow motion, as she and the fiance get farther apart and she keeps lying to him, and the cafe owner doesn't care what happens to him, and the woman periodically passes out from the emotional stress. And the guy is so stupid, so clueless and utterly in denial about the reality around him. Sexual energy like that is palpable, and if you can't feel it you should at least notice the googly-eyes and the touching and the hey-hey-hey.

But trust is hard. I keep watching so I can see how that relationship catches fire and burns. The other relationships are richly drawn, too, though, with cracks and healings and strengths and weaknesses and who the hell knows why we stay together.

I took the advice of a friend and gave some people a chance on Friday. It didn't work out, of course, but that caveat was part of the advice: "I don't believe it, but I'm trying to be encouraging". Back to the normal MO, I think...not that last night sucked particularly, but it was a bit of a waste of energy. And I knew it would be, really, but I decided to be open(-ish) and give it a chance anyway. And that's okay.
