I'm getting sick: sore throat, sore body, some congestion, bleary eyes, brain not functioning properly.
I'm really ready to go home...I don't like Southern California, and spending more time here doesn't really change my mind. The people are fine, but there's a strange homogeneity to the population. Everyone dresses the same, looks the same--the college students even ride the same one or two styles of bicycle. It's like all the differences have been smoothed out into something really boring. The Bay Area feels...rough by comparison. Rich and full of variety. Fun.
Southern California is like the South Bay extended to cover a bigger chunk of the state, only without the (in most of our eyes) redeeming strangeness and intelligence of concentrated computer geek populations.
